Every Mother is a Gift to Her Child

Psalm 139:13 "For you created my inmost being; you knit me together in my mother's womb."

Welcome to Mary's House!

Mary’s House is a place you can call home any time throughout your pregnancy and up to six months after the birth of your child. We are a residency house for pregnant women 18 years of age and older who are in need of a helping hand from willing hands while preparing for life as a mother.

You may feel a little overwhelmed, or a sense of joy, that you have been chosen to receive the beautiful gift of motherhood. We are here to help with any fears or burdens that you may be having. Our staff, volunteers, and board members are a special group of people who are compassionate and willing to assist and help you achieve a more sustainable living environment for yourself and your baby. If you are dealing with an addiction, you must be recommended by a counselor after 45 days clear and continue in a substance abuse program. In most instances, we are able to accept mothers with other children depending on age and circumstances.

There is NO COST for housing.  We provide a safe, judgment-free, and peaceful environment so you can thrive as a person if you are willing to work toward becoming a successful parent and productive citizen in your community. We can assist with financial suggestions if you have an income to help you provide for your family's daily needs.

Your own personal goal program can help you to become a strong, independent mother and homemaker for yourself and your family.  All residents will be provided with goal management services to help develop and pursue positive life goals and prepare for the future.  Our staff and volunteers will work with you to identify important goals or skills and develop a concrete plan in utilizing them to achieve success.

Mary's House offers, (Among others things):

  • Life Skills (cooking, cleaning, transportation, etc.)
  • Parenting Skills (bathing, feeding, making appointments and keeping them by getting there on time, etc.)
  • Financial Education (keeping a checkbook, paying bills on time, etc.)
  • Health of Mind, Body, and Spiritual Well-being (spiritual direction)
  • Transportation (permit, license, local transport, etc.)

We will assist you in accessing services available to you:

  • Future Housing Applications
  • Education (achieve GED, high school graduation, further education)
  • Employment Applications
  • Legal Issues (fines to pay off, court dates, etc.)
  • Substance Abuse Education
  • Birthing Classes
  • Health Care: (Securing a Family Doctor, Pediatrician, Dental, Vision and Mental Health physician, etc.)

**The focus is to help you be the BEST YOU possible.**

If you are making a choice between abortion or allowing your baby to live, please let us help support the gift of life by giving you some tools you will need to be a great mom. We have services available to support and assist you if you feel adoption is a better choice by giving others the opportunity to add a new member to their family.

Our house is modeled after a family/community lifestyle, and is for pregnant women of all faiths. We desire to participate in the most important act of love, the gift of life.

All applicants are considered on a case by case basis and must be willing to work on your goals within our program and live peacefully with others.
